I am so excited to hear about your journey to Amman. I started following your blog when you first began in Taiwan. Hopefully, that’s not creepy- I started following you because at the time we were considering the foreign services and thought you were the perfect ones to see how things went since we too have four children, are LDS, and lived in Taiwan teaching English for a couple of years with my husband when we first got married. Anyway, we have chosen a different path as far as career goes, but my husband and I have enjoyed reading all of your posts. We laughed quite a bit, because you nailed Taiwan just perfectly. It is a lovely place, with such lovely people, and there is no other place like it on the planet. I am super excited to be along with you on your blog journey of Amman. I just thought I would introduce myself. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Erin, I’m excited to hear how you like Amman. I’ve been to Jordan 4 times while I was serving in Iraqi Freedom from 2003-2004. It’s an amazing place, with lots of great history. I know (hope) your family will love it, although it will be a total change from Taiwan. I’ll be interested in hearing your experiences. I expect you’ll also get to Israel, which should be awesome.

Oh I can hardly wait to hear about life in Amman! Hardly wait! You made life in Taiwan sound so fascinating. I’m sure this will be, too. Good luck and best wishes with the move. I hope it goes as smoothly as possible!
Ciao sono contenta di sapere che siete arrivati ad Amman e che state bene. Inoltre vi state avvicinando, non siamo così lontani come prima. Vi auguro buona fortuna e tanta felicità. Spero che la vostra prossima destinazione sia ancora più vicina, magari a . . . Roma.
Un abbraccio
